Hull Anounces 2021 Plans
A relative newcomer to sports car racing, Texas' Chandler Hull sees a packed schedule for the upcoming 2021 season which includes an assault on numerous series across the globe. The 40+ race schedule includes the Asian Le Mans, Creventic 24hr, GT4 European and GT4 America Series as well as the Nürburgring 24hr race. The American will also make several appearances in the NLS series later in the season as well as a drive in the Intercontinental GT Challenge Indianapolis 8hr.
Committing to BMW machinery (BMW M6 GT3 and M4 GT4) throughout the 2021 campaign, Hull will drive with four of the top teams in the world: BimmerWorld Racing in GT4 America and the Indianapolis 8hr, ST Racing in the Creventic 24hr, MDM Motorsport in the GT4 European and Walkenhorst Motorsports in the Asian Le Mans Series, Nürburgring 24hr and NLS series.
Hull’s busy season will start in January by teaming up with Samantha Tan, Nick Wittmer and Jon Miller for the Dubai 24H with ST Racing. He will then pair up with BMW factory driver, Nicky Catsburg and Miller for the Asian Le Mans series. The GT4 America season, which starts in March, will see Hull pair with Miller again and in the GT4 European campaign, Tyler Cooke will be alongside. James Clay, Charlie Postins and Lance Boicelli will co-drive with Hull in the 24H Nürburgring, with Miller and Postins filling in for the NLS races. The Indianapolis 8H will see Clay and BMW legend Bill Auberlen complete the driver trio, who look to defend their 2020 victory.
“It’s been an ambition of mine to become a global driver. Part of the strategy to accomplish this is making sure I drive the best tracks in the world. The season we have put together will accomplish this by having an enormous amount global coverage and I am excited to add new series and new machinery to my 2021 schedule,” said Hull. “It will be a busy season for sure, but it will be incredible to run with factory drivers like Nicky and Bill, as well as my other top tier teammates. I am also pleased to be able to continue driving BMW machinery and to be able to drive alongside most of the top BMW Customer Racing teams in the world.”
Hull added, “It’s truly incredible that we have been able to fit more than 40 races into a season and with only two conflicts within the Creventic 24hr series I am able to get four full seasons of racing in in just 11 months. I cannot wait to kick off this next season after finishing last year with a GT4 class win at the Indianapolis 8hr. Nothing would be better than continuing this momentum and starting the season off with a win.”
